HISTORIC BACKGROUND: INNOCENT AKPENLAMEN VINGIL popularly known as NOOBVEE a.k.a. #ORWAMA born into the family of VINGIL,is the last of six. Born and bread in Makurdi, Benue State and relocated to Jos in 1998 where he enrolled into St. Murumba College, Jos in 1999, same school which gave birth to the likes of PSQUARE, MIKEL OBI and ICE PRINCE who was his classmate to keep the list short. His professional music career began in 2005 with a release of a school musical album titled BBC (BIG BOYS CREW) under the watchful eyes and administration of Fr. ANTHONY ENUKELA. On graduation in 2006,he moved to Abuja to further pursue his musical career where he worked with the likes of BLACKFACENAIJA on the track
HELLO by WTM(WE THE MUSIC) which includes AVA and SLO JAE a.k.a. TER YESU U RAP(JESUS CHRIST OF RAP) was produced, mixed and mastered by Dr. ILLMIX.
In 2008,NOOBVEE moved back to Benue State, hooked up with CHARLES CREATION of CREATION STUDIO as a sound engineer, pioneered to put together the creation of the first ever mixtape in BENUE STATE: CREATION STUDIO MIXTAPE in 2009 which was swept under the rugs due to some financial reasons and other complicated issues but not withstanding, his passion, undying and unending enthusiasm for music kept the fire burning. In the year 2012, on entry into BENUE STATE UNIVERSITY, WTM officially released NOOBVEE's first single:
U SAY? A mind blowing Afro HipHop songs which caught the attentions of not just the students of the prestigious institution but also the music loving people of the state, DJs, radio presenters and also critics. Early 2013, NOOBVEE was nominated for the award of BEST RAPPER OF THE YEAR, SOSA AWARDS for the song U SAY? Late into the year, NOOBVEE dropped another beat banging and mind blowing controversial rap song titled
DEAR HATERS addressing all haters, critics and whoever it may concern to quote him just a lil. Along with much criticism and debate, its will highly argued if the rap industry of Benue State had died and gone along with the legendary SLUM CHILD. But, all the side talks, noise and dusts was eventually cleared in 2014 with the released of
#HISKOLMUSIC by NOOBVEE,
a mind blowing rap song which instantly became an anthem in the streets of Benue State and beyond in less than a week of release. This song is said to have given the TIV Tribe and rap industry a voice and a new face, Critics called it the LIL WAYNE'S LULLIPOP of our time. #HISKOMUSIC grew and spread across like a wild fire bringing great attention and recognition investors from within and outside the shores of Nigeria. Same year, NOOBVEE was nominated for the award of MOST PROMISING RAPPER, WHYTE IMAGE AWARDS. The management of WTM set aside the whole year of 2015 on rebranding, and building the public image and brand of NOOBVEE, also working on collaborations with other artist.
NOOBVEE began the year 2016 with bagging the award of THE MUSIC RAPPER, NUBESS AWARDS 2016, finalized and completed his the recording of his official mixtape titled: #ORWAMA:THA MIXTAPE set to be released officially in April,2017 and closed the year 2016 with the award of INDIGENUS RAPPER OF THE YEAR, BEA AWARDS.
